• Holding a valid Non Immigrant visa. For example an expat who is holding Non B visa but a work permit being cancelled, he will have to take the work permit cancellation paper to the immigration office in his area to cancel his visa and apply for 7 day extension of stay.

• Holding tourist visa or visa-exempt entry that is eligible for extension ( Nationals from Sri Lanka, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Iranian, Nepalese, Togo, Nigerian and Uganda).

• Being unable to depart Thailand due to unforeseen circumstances, such as flight cancellations, medical emergencies, or other legitimate reasons beyond their control.

It's important to note that not all types of visas or entry types are eligible for the 7-day extension.
